New Victims Identified in Costa Disaster

An American couple and a German couple were identified this week as casualties of the Costa Concordia cruise disaster. The bodies were found several weeks ago and brought to the Italian town of Grosseto along with the body of a cruise ship worker from the ill-fated ship.
The victims from the United States were identified as Barbara and Gerald Heil of Minnesota. They are also noted as the only Americans to have died in the accident. The transportation of the bodies to their son, John Heil, has not been discussed with the media. The German couple, who was celebrating their golden wedding anniversary aboard the ship, has been identified as Muehlheim am Main residents Christina Mathi Ganz and Norbert Josef Ganz.
The U.S. Embassy located in Rome has stated that they are grateful for the Italian search teams that have made such valiant efforts to recover and return the remains of victims of the cruise ship accident. There are currently two bodies still unaccounted for, those of an Italian woman and an Indian crewman.
